Queenstown

Day 1 of Electrify Queenstown 2026 kicks off today and it's the only day with **free public access**. The community programme runs across the Queenstown Events Centre and locations around the district.

**Free How-To Hub** — Dedicated zones inside the Events Centre with independent experts on: - Solar and batteries - Electric vehicles (charging, range, costs) - Home heating and cooking (heat pumps, induction) - Finance (loans, payback timelines, government grants)

No bookings. Just walk in, ask anything, get answers from people who don't sell anything.

**Around the district:** - High-performance home tours (limited spots — register at electrifyqueenstown.co.nz) - Off-grid hospitality demonstration at Kinloch (45 min drive north of Queenstown) - Electric boats and bikes on Lake Wakatipu

The weather looks clear and crisp — bring a layer. The lakefront walk between the Events Centre and the gondola is the easiest way to get there.
