The centrepiece of Electrify Queenstown 2026 is on today. *The Future of New Zealand's Energy System — Political Debate* runs 2:15–4:30pm at the Queenstown Events Centre.

Six politicians from six parties: - **David Seymour** (ACT, Deputy PM) - **Chris Hipkins** (Labour Leader) - **Simeon Brown** (National, Minister for Energy) - **Chlöe Swarbrick** (Green Co-Leader) - **Shane Jones** (NZ First, Associate Minister for Energy) - **Qiulae Wong** (TOP Leader)

Moderated by journalist **Paddy Gower**.

Limited tickets remain — check electrifyqueenstown.co.nz for last-minute availability. If you can't make it in person, follow the official Rewiring Aotearoa channels for clips and full recording afterwards.

The wider Monday programme also includes business innovation keynotes, finance panels, and investment panels — these run earlier in the day and have their own day-pass options.

If you're in town and not attending, the gondola and the lakefront walk are both unusually quiet during the debate window. Good time for either.
